Heard of a party? Surely you can count to 8?

[holy strike] is nowhere near the damage smite skill - it only does a 200 damage to one target - you'll take that much damage from being up close in the first place.

A better idea would be not to teleport at all and kill them with your aoe smites while your party remains safely behind bodyblocker.

Ok, lets add it up... Assuming a kill every 5 seconds against a group of 8, thats i=1->8 sum((160 sh + 144 sc)i + (70 average dod))=8662 over 40s=
216.55 dps
That beats your single target dps before the pve skills are even factored and it did so while removing 8 conditions, 8 hexes and healing over 2000hp allowing you to leave your second healer/protector at home and bring a paragon or ritualist instead to further increase your party's killspeed.

So a touch ranger has better than an 80DPS and a SB/DB build (fragment) has 216.55DPS. Sry, I give up here.

I used smiting to beat the game in HM (h/h), not just undeath parts.

combo for messing up melee woo

Weren't you and cellardweller comparing your AP build with Dual Boon? The touch ranger has nothing important to do with the discussion.

Not only do you avoid any argument against you, you bring up frivolous topics in your rebutal instead.

Go ahead and give up. You don't know what you're talking about.

Where do you get this from? Please pass the pipe. It's been refuted twice now.

Because a 138hp heal for 5e is bad. Along with removing a hex/condition. LOL. You crack me up.

Riiiiiiight. Monks never target allies. They would have no idea how to do that. How silly of me.

So xikur... in the end do you want to work like a real monk while dealing damage

or go for a real damage dealer, be in danger, be in touch range, hinder the enemy instead of tickling it?

talking about that I seriously want to try maverik's build.

No offense, but recommending touch ranger as a high DPS build says a lot about ones experience level and "216.55" is something that you can not argue with. I played the norn/sin build on my monk a lot and I know all about the offensive abilities (DPS/utilities under different circumstances) and the defenses (kd/interrupt/shadow step against melee/caster/etc) of the build. I think I have already said enough to stir some interest and I am sure that there will be ppl who will go ahead and try the Mo/A when the situation calls for it (HH/more monks in a party than needed/wanna kick some ass/etc).

Promoting your build is fine.

Spewing your false propaganda about Boonsmite (and insulting a well respected Moderator) is not.

12+1+1 = 28 Divine with SB = 90 Healing.

Can turn into damage dealing healer, just fill rest of the slots with something like e-managment and more target ally -smiting spells.
I'm NOT saying it's the best possiple offensive healer build out there, or even viable build at all.

But something like can be nice change from the normal healing and against undeads it can even be viable.
Those 4 skills make pretty good passive healing

I don't think anyone is saying your build is complete crap. It's fairly similar to all the other AP builds using the norn shouts, which are what really give it teeth. Because of that, it's hard to call that build a smiting build.

However, there really shouldn't be any question that the boonsmite build is about as good as it gets for a support smiting build, or a build not using PvE skills. Every other monk in TA and RA is running this for a reason, you know.
